Angling team hook a win!

KES Academy have been taking their competitive spirit to the fishing lakes this month, finishing second in the West Norfolk Schools angling competition, at Barford Lakes near Norwich.

The team will now be representing West Norfolk in the Norfolk School Games.

Ross McNeil, PE teacher, said: “A huge congratulations to the team, in particular to Captain Luke Boughen who caught 27lbs worth of fish in just over two hours! This is a great achievement for the academy and we wish the team the best of luck in the finals.”

The year 7-13 angling finals will take place at Barford Lakes on Friday 23 June.

 Norfolk School Games – The Norfolk School Games is the largest school sport event to ever be held in Norfolk. The Games is part of the national School Games initiative which aims to inspire more young people to take part in competitive school sport. The Norfolk School Games is organised by Active Norfolk and the eight School Sport Partnerships (SSPs) in the county and sponsored by the University of East Anglia Sportspark.
