National Rotary Club Young Photographer Competition

We are delighted that Tayah Farnham in Year 9 has been awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ Certificate in the Intermediate category by The National Competition Judges. This basically means that her entry was judged to be second only to the winner. Her entry has beaten literally hundreds of entries from throughout the country.

This is a fantastic result for Tayah personally as well as for KES academy.

Congratulations are also due to Miss Cordukes for her inspired tuition of Tayah and her peer group. Without her, it is unlikely that Taya would have reached the high standard of work which she is now producing.

Below are the judges comments on Taya’s entry and her winner photos:
Close-up photography is not easy, and looking beyond what the naked eye can normally see is certainly a “different perspective”.
The same greens in all three images give a lovely colour harmony, and this contrasts well with the blues of the feather and purples of the flower.
