Is this course for me?

It is a challenging and thought provoking specification as it demands students learn to think logically and write skilfully. Simply from the viewpoint of the skills it builds, it is a course worth doing. It is a popular course and encourages learners to adopt an enquiring, critical, and reflective approach to the study of religion. It allows students to reflect on and develop their own values and opinions in light of their study. Due to the diverse nature of the course and the range of interesting topics, it is a popular choice at A-Level.

  • Religion and Ethics
  • Ethical thought/ Deontological ethics/ Teleological ethics/ Determinism and freewill
  • Study of Religion (Option A: Christianity) - Religious figures and sacred texts/ Religious concepts and religious life/ Significant social and historical developments in religious thought/ Religious practices and religious identity.
